Account

Change the signed-in user's profile, password and devices

vaze.account changes the account the client acts as. These calls need a client that acts as a signed-in user and no scope; a client built with an API key gets a 403. To read the account, use vaze.me(). Every method returns the response envelope.

Update the profile

Send a new name, email or both. The response is the updated account, the same shape vaze.me() returns.

const { data, error } = await vaze.account.update({
  name: "Dana Scully",
  email: "[email protected]",
});

A new email is the one the user signs in with from then on. One that another account already uses responds 409.

Change the password

const { error } = await vaze.account.changePassword({
  currentPassword: "old-password",
  newPassword: "new-password",
  revokeOtherSessions: true, // optional, keeps this session signed in
});

Devices

Each device signed in to the account is a session:

type Session = {
  id: string;
  ipAddress: string | null;
  userAgent: string | null;
  createdAt: string;
  current: boolean; // the session this client uses
};
const { data } = await vaze.account.getSessions();
// data => { sessions: Session[] }, the current one first

await vaze.account.revokeSession("session-id"); // sign out one other device
await vaze.account.revokeOtherSessions(); // sign out every other device

The current session can't be revoked this way; sign the user out instead.
